Furniture with recycled material

Recycled plastic material can be derived from two sources: post-consumer and post-industrial. Both sources play an important role in reducing environmental impact and closing the loop to ensure plastic does not end as waste, but becomes a resource that can be used again.

Post-consumer recycled plastic material is derived from material from households and commercial waste. The plastic is collected, sorted and cleaned in recycling programmes, before being reprocessed into new products containing plastic.

Post-industrial recycled plastic material is derived from leftover plastic waste generated from the original manufacturing process. The excess plastic is collected and reused to create new products, thus minimising production waste and maximising recycling of the raw materials.

Post-consumer aluminium is derived from scrap, e.g. beverage cans, dismantled windows and facades.
