Result Armchair and Pyramid Table by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld / New Models and Colours
Originally created by Friso Kramer and Wim Rietveld while working at Ahrend in the 1950s, the Result collection has been updated in new models and colours. The iconic chair is now available with armrests, which elevates the functionality and comfort level. Fully upholstered versions are now also offered, as well as the addition of a new Tomato Red frame for both the Result Chair and Pyramid Table collection – a vibrant tone that adds a contemporary slant to the classic design.
About FRISO KRAMER AND WIM RIETVELD
Wim Rietveld (1924-1985) and Friso Kramer (b. 1922) were both Dutch-born. Wim Rietveld was an industrial furniture designer who studied Industrial Design at The Hague Academy, before starting work in 1958 at De Cirkel, a manufacturer of steel furniture that had merged with the Ahrend group in 1939. Friso Kramer studied Interior Design at the Institute of Applied Arts in Amsterdam, before he also worked at De Cirkel as a designer from 1948-1963. It was during their time at De Cirkel that the two designers met, together developing a number of iconic design collaborations, including the Result Chair in 1958. Together with Ahrend, HAY has reproduced the Rietveld and Kramer’s original design of the Result Chair.
