The Tirpitz Museum
The Tirpitz museum, designed by BIG- Bjarke Ingels Group is naturally integrated into the landscape of western Denmark. Hidden under the sandy dunes are multiple exhibition spaces exploring the regional history. HAY design can be found throughout the museum in the open and communal spaces.
The Tirpitz museum is 2,800 m2 and built on the site of a former WWII bunker. It was part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall defences, which extended from Nordkapp, Norway, all the way to the Pyrenees.
