Designed by Spanish designer Marc Morro, Taburete 8 Bar Stool uses direct design language to create a functional and robust bar stool with a distinct yet minimalistic expression. Both the curved plywood seat and steel tubing frame are clearly presented, with the different components enhanced by their raw simplicity and bold use of colour. Available in two heights, with the oak veneer seat and steel frame in different finishes and colours, Taburete 8 combines the comfortable seat with industrial aesthetics to create a versatile stool that is easy to integrate in bars and restaurants, as well as in private homes.

Designed for HAY by Marc Morro, Taburete 8 Bar Stool signifies the start of a new and exciting collaboration with the Spanish furniture designer. Named ‘8’ after the number of prototypes made until the final version was perfected, the resulting stool exudes an honesty and radical aesthetic characteristic of Morro’s direct approach to design. Both the curved plywood seat and steel tubing frame are clearly presented, with the different components enhanced by their raw simplicity and bold use of colour. The stool’s robust construction combined with its minimalistic expression make it easy to integrate into a wide variety of environments.

Taburete 8 Bar Stool / Designer

Designer Marc Morro was born in Majorca in 1984, leaving the island at the age of 18 to study industrial design at Elisava School in the city of Barcelona, where he is still based today. Marc strives for honesty and radical austerity in his designs, using his direct approach creating logical objects with minimalistic, clear constructions. He offers creative and development services for commissioned projects for a variety of individuals and companies. For HAY, Marc has designed the Taburete 8 Bar Stool.
