Biomass foam

As part of HAY’s ongoing CO2 reducing initiatives, we have replaced the existing polyurethane foam used in About A Lounge and Uchiwa chairs with an alternative made from renewable raw materials. The substitute polyurethane is a biomass balanced polyurethane instead of feedstock based solely on fossil fuel. Although the quality of the product remains the same, the CO2 savings are quite significant.
